Tonight's Debate

I know everyone is talking about it already. I know that there are blogs with much more insight than mine that are discussing it. Be that as it may, I am going to mention tonight's debate anyway because all the other kids are and I don't want to be teased for being different.

Now that we have that out of the way, I would like to say that I am looking forward to this debate with great anticipation because the President is going to wallop Senator Kerry with a virtual tour de force of elocution and oration the likes of which this tired Earth has not seen since the grand statesmen of old.

How can I say this? Easy.

President Bush is not going to be simply reading words that some hireling scribbled for him. He actually believes in what he is doing and what he is saying. That is going to show during the debate.

Kerry only believes that he should be president. He apparently hasn't found a position on anything else that he is comfortable with....and he has pretty much covered them all at one time or another. What Kerry desperately wants us to believe is that he is for us. That he has our best interests at heart. The fact that he doesn't will also be glaringly obvious tonight when he gets his chance to yammer in front of the microphones.

Montreal Expos Make Move To DC Area

It's news like this that puts a smile on my face every time! I have a great big soft spot in my heart for the "Golden Age" of baseball and the idea of Washington having a big league team again after 33 years is just pure good news.

I would love to see them be named the Senators again but unfortunately The Texas Rangers franchise has exclusive rights to the name. Still, according to the poll accompanying the article, an overwhelming majority of readers stated that they would like to see a Washington Senators ball club once again. Perhaps a deal could be worked out for us nostalgia buffs.

Now if we could just do something about getting those Dodgers back to Brooklyn....

I know, I know. But I can dream can't I?

Great News From Iraq

The "Two Simonas" and four Egyptians were released today by their kidnappers. Thank the Lord!

My thoughts and prayers have been with these two ladies. I am disturbed and enraged by every kidnapping that occurs and I automatically prepare myself for the worst even while praying for the best. But these two Italian Ladies weighed more on my mind than the rest of the hostages for the simple reason that they might not have been merely murdered in a hideous way. I know that sounds rather callous, but there it is.

I firmly believe that there are worse fates than death and the jihadis have a track record of despicable treatment toward female captives. My heart sunk days ago when reports indicated that they had been killed, more because there was no typical video taping of the murder than because of the likelihood that they were dead. If it wasn't confirmed that they had, indeed been murdered, then their captors might just be saying that so they can keep them indefinitely with nobody actively looking for them.

That scared me more than anything.

Call me a sexist pig if you must, But I would rather think of those two females going home to their reward than living such a horrible existance as surely their captors could have easily imposed on them. Thank God that they are once again safe and going home!

There is still no word on Briton Kenneth Bigley. I pray that he and all of the other hostages will soon be restored to their loved ones soon.

Would You Want Your Daughter To Convert To This Religion?

Jihad and rape
go hand in hand

"Each of us was raped by between three and six men. … One woman refused to have sex with them, so they split her head into pieces with an axe in front of us."

This happened in Darfur, from which Sudanese military personnel actually airlifted women to Khartoum to serve as sex slaves.

Meanwhile, Indira Dzetskelova, the mother of one of the child hostages in Beslan, Russia, reports that "several 15-year-old girls were raped by terrorists." Her daughter "heard their terrible cries and screams when those monsters took them away."

This indicates that there are two things the massacre in Beslan has in common with the ongoing massacres in Darfur: both, no less than the 9-11 attacks, are examples of Islamic jihad terrorism, and both are characterized by rape.

The jihadist element has been made clear by the ringleaders of both atrocities. Sudanese Gen. Mohamed Beshir Suleiman recently declared: "The door of the jihad is still open and if it has been closed in the south it will be opened in Darfur." In southern Sudan, of course, the jihad was waged against Christians; in Darfur, the targets are black African Muslims whose Islamic bona fides don't satisfy Khartoum. As for Beslan, the Chechen jihadist leader Shamil Besayev warned the Russian government last winter: "Praise Allah, we are dreaming of dying in jihad, we are dreaming of dying on the way of Allah, so that we could earn paradise and mercy of Allah."

What does rape, then, have to do with these religious conflicts? Unfortunately, everything. The Islamic legal manual 'Umdat al-Salik, which carries the endorsement of Al-Azhar University, the most respected authority in Sunni Islam, stipulates: "When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman's previous marriage is immediately annulled." Why? So that they are free to become the concubines of their captors. The Quran permits Muslim men to have intercourse with their wives and their slave girls: "Forbidden to you are ... married women, except those whom you own as slaves." (Sura 4:23-24)

After one successful battle, Muhammad tells his men, "Go and take any slave girl." He took one for himself also. After the notorious massacre of the Jewish Qurayzah tribe, he did it again. According to his earliest biographer, Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad "went out to the market of Medina (which is still its market today) and dug trenches in it. Then he sent for [the men of Banu Qurayza] and struck off their heads in those trenches as they were brought out to him in batches." After killing "600 or 700 in all, though some put the figure as high as 800 or 900," the Prophet of Islam took one of the widows he had just made, Rayhana bint Amr, as another concubine.

Emerging victorious in another battle, according to a generally accepted Islamic tradition, Muhammad's men present him with an ethical question: "We took women captives, and we wanted to do 'azl [coitus interruptus] with them." Muhammad told them: "It is better that you should not do it, for Allah has written whom He is going to create till the Day of Resurrection." When Muhammad says "it is better that you should not do it," he's referring to coitus interruptus, not to raping their captives. He takes that for granted.

With Muhammad revered throughout the Islamic world as al-insan al-kamil, the perfect man, the rapes of Darfur and Beslan are not surprising. What is surprising, or ought to be, is the silence from the Islamic world about the rapes in both cases. Where are the reformers who will dare to say that Muhammad's example must not be followed in this case? Who will acknowledge that the world has developed principles of human rights that must supercede those forged in seventh-century Arabia? Where are the Western spokesmen who are not so in thrall to multiculturalism that they will condemn rape that is justified according to Islamic religious principles? The much-lionized "Muslim Martin Luther," Tariq Ramadan, now banned from entering the U.S., can so far only bring himself to call for a moratorium, not a definitive ban, on stoning for adulterers. Rape of captives? His sentiments are not known. Where is the Muslim Solzhenitsyn, who will speak honestly about the aspects of Islam that so desperately need reform and call for the overhaul that the system so obviously needs?

The whole world is waiting. But for the girls and women of Darfur and Beslan, it is already too late.

This world just get's sicker and sicker and sicker. Or is it just that we in America are now being forced to see how these people really are for the first time?

Islam is a cult of death and misery. It's as much about empowering one group of people at the severe expense of other groups as Nazism or Apartheid. If people want to be muslim, fine. But Islam should not be allowed to hold political sway anywhere. It's just much too dangerous and vicious to other people to be used to govern a country.

Beheading Vids More Popular Than Porn In Baghdad

This article, in most respects, seems to be the standard issue bilge that is coming out of the Middle East at this time.

You know the drill....Iraqis are tired of their western occupiers. Americans search them before they can enter buildings, foriegners with guns have checkpoints everywhere, They aren't allowed to swim in the river near checkpoints, yadda yadda yadda.

Something in this particular article is revealed, however, which shows the dark hearts of the badguys in that region. After the fall of Saddam, pornography quickly became the most popular type of video watched by the people of the capital city. Now, something else has replaced porn in the hearts of Baghdad video buyers, infidel beheadings. People all over the city are watching their favorite murders in coffee houses, appliance stores, and in the comfort of their own homes.

Why are our soldiers setting up those nasty roadblocks and prowling the streets with machinegun laden vehicles again? I can't imagine such a peacful and serene people deserving such treatment!

Not all Iraqis like the newly popular form of entertainment though. This article states that in Sadr City, a Shi'ite district, comedies and light fare from Egypt, India and Hollywood are the draw.

I don't pretend to know exactly what is going on over there, but things like this are telling. Muslims like their beheadings over there. They idolize killers. They think nothing of snatching the children of other muslims off the street and ransoming them for money with which they can buy more munitions. Munitions which will be used on anybody, even each other if no better target presents itself.

Al Zarqawi, a specialist in biological and chemical insurgency, wants our two top bio/chem prisoners to be released. He obviously has job openings that need to be filled and he will keep chanting to allah and killing until he fills those positions. Baghdad doesn't care, they are literally enjoying the show.

That is a very sick culture over there. We can't cut and run without ensuring a stable government is first put in place. That would be irresponsible. What we are doing is right. The sandbags and barbedwire, the roadblocks and the street patrols are there because the people that live there require such paraphernalia. That's what kind of people a good portion of them are. Those things are there because we don't want them here and the terrorists and their many, many sympathisers insist that they exist somewhere. So the logical place is in their own back yards.

Church Politics

This evening I was on the telephone talking with my mother; we chatted about what was on Fox news right at that moment. It seems there is a lot of talk about bloggers lately; see what you've done Dan Rather? The conversation meandered around aimlessly, as all really good conversations do, and touched on all of the usual topics that we like to discuss like the election, the war, and her grandson.

During the course of our conversation my mother mentioned that a visiting pastor at her church was expounding on the virtues of voting your principles. She said that he stood there and talked to the congregation about how important it was for every American to vote, to take part in the system, and how it was important to cast informed votes based on their principles as christians. The man mentioned no candidate's name, he merely stated that they should vote according to their conscience, not the latest sentiments pushed by the media.

When she started telling me about it my first impulse was to warn her that they should be careful lest the church get it's tax-free status revoked. I've heard of such things happening to evangelical churches that discuss politics. It could happen to any church, unless the speaker is a Democrat like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

I immediately felt ashamed and checked myself before I told her what I was thinking. We are in the United States of America. This is not Nazi Germany. This is not the USSR. Why should I warn my own mother that bad things could happen to her church if they utter anything political? It may be a fact that it could happen but it is wrong to worry about such things here. We are a free people in a free society. Conservatives have the same freedoms of speech and assembly as the liberals. I felt ashamed because in this great nation, with these God-given rights, I felt moved to tell my mother that her church should be careful about telling it's congregation that it was important to go out and vote against partial-birth abortion and gay marriage. I felt ashamed because for a moment I was knuckling under. I was playing the liberal's game.

People, don't be intimidated by strong arm tactics. If the left can walk into a church and scare it's congregation into voting Democrat because the Republicans want to do various and sundry evil things in the world, then it is only just that a small church can discuss which candidate will best uphold the standards that they expect in a leader.

Okay, I have that off my chest now.

Palestinian Children's Show Host Was Suicide Bomber

This is just sickening. Not even a full work week after the President of the United States chastised Isreal for "humiliating" Palestinians at checkpoints, A young lady who hosted a children's television program in Palestine blew herself and some bystanders up at an Isreali bus stop.

Mister President, I love and support you, but I take serious issue with you telling the Nation of Isreal that they should not be doing everything in their power to prevent outrages like this. If anything we should be behind Isreal one hundred percent. They know what they are doing. And, they have much more of a vested interest in quelling terrorism than we do. They live with it daily; their casualties far exceed those we suffered on 9-11.

What is more, Isreal seems to grasp something that not many in this country seem to want to admit; there is no radical extremist form of Islam, it is Islam as a whole that is trying to exterminate us.

It's easy to blame all of the atrocities commited by terrorists on a few extremists, a small minority of muslims, but how do you explain their international proliferation, their support both monetary and materiel? How do you explain the ominously anti-American/anti-western sentiments of the vaunted Arab street? The dancing in the street and passing out of candy to celebrate any atrocity commited against the west and America or Isreal in particular and the burning of flags, effugies and actual human beings is not enacted by a small minority of people. The persecution in Islamic countries of infidels is rooted in government law and sharia law is only so effective in those countries because neighbor will inform on neighbor and family member on family member. Palestinian and Iranian leaders tell their youth at even their earliest ages that martyrdom against the infidel is a desirable and honorable thing.....and the people lap it up. They embrace it.

No. This is not a small group of fanatic muslims we are speaking of here. In the Middle East, this is status quo.

Granted, not all muslims embrace this unreasoning hatred; but where is their voice? You can hear it, if you listen intently enough. It is a voice drown out. I submit that muslims who wield the voice of reason, who embrace the rhetoric of peace are, in fact, the fringe. The minority.

When even a woman who hosts a television program to teach youngsters straps a bomb to her body and tries to kill as many non-muslims as possible, I am forced to admit that there is a religious war happening. It's happening all over the world. We might not be fighting a religious war with Islam, but they damned sure are fighting one against us.

Another American Murdered

The terrorists have murdered another hogtied man today. I'm quite sure they are very proud of themselves. It must take a very brave man indeed to cut the head off of a man who is bound hand and foot on the floor in front of him.

Pray for this unfortunate man's family and pray for the family of the British hostage also. I think, unfortunately, that they will be needing those prayers as well.

Dan Rather Is A Poser

A special thanks to my friends at U.S.Paratroopers.Org for tipping me off to the fact that Dan Rather is a poser of the first magnitude.

It seems that a young Dan Rather, while attending college, sought deferment from the draft during the Korean War. Deferments being rather ineffectual as they were only good for one semester, Rather instead enlisted in the Army effective way of staying out of overseas deployments in the early fifties. After the 1953 cease fire, Rather left college and enlisted in the Marine Corps, but was discharged during training as medically unfit.

Being medically unfit is not disgraceful in and of itself. But passing yourself off as a Marine, which you are not until you complete the training that Rather failed to complete, for all of these years while simultaneously denigrating the reserve service of Vice-President Quayle and President Bush is confusing.

Why was it good enough for Mister Rather, but not others? At least his victims did not brag about things that they never did.

I guess that state side reserve service did not fit in with the person that Rather tries to sell himself as on the nightly news.

Shame on you Dan!

Interesting E-Mail

I got the following in my email today and thought "why not?". So here goes.....

Similar to Gun Buy-Backs, World Ahead Publishing Exchanges “Fahrenheit 9/11” for Copies of THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH

LOS ANGELES, September 17, 2004 – In an effort to ensure the safety of American homes, World Ahead Publishing, publisher of THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH, announces its Fahrenheit 9/11 DVD Buy-Back program for U.S. purchasers of Michael Moore’s documentary. In urban areas, city leaders periodically sponsor gun “buy-back” programs to help reduce gun violence. Similarly, the Fahrenheit 9/11 DVD Buy-Back program is designed to protect Americans from harm, especially young children who might accidentally slip this dangerous propaganda into the living room DVD player.

Beginning October 5th, the day Moore’s documentary goes on sale, World Ahead Publishing will offer citizens the opportunity to exchange their copies of Fahrenheit 9/11 for THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH: REFLECTIONS ON THE WAR ON TERROR, DEFENSE OF THE FAMILY, AND THE REVIVAL OF THE ECONOMY, with no questions asked.

Unlike Moore’s film, which deceptively splices film footage to score its points, Thank You, President Bush discusses the facts. This book’s all-star list of contributors includes Art Laffer, the father of supply-side economics; George Shultz, former Secretary of State; James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family; and Bill Bennett, former Secretary of Education. Vice President Dick Cheney also contributes a chapter on foreign policy, and the President’s brother, Gov. Jeb Bush, pens a moving and personal introduction. All 29 writers are experts in their topics, addressing such important issues as national security, the economy, and social policy in straightforward language.

“Moore’s work isn’t a documentary. It’s a dangerous weapon that shouldn’t be left lying around the house,” says Aman Verjee, co-editor of the anthology. “Send us Moore’s lies and we’ll give you the truth on President Bush’s record and policies. We want to give people who unsuspectingly buy Moore’s propaganda a chance to trade it in for a book that’s positive and insightful,” added Verjee. “This book sets the record straight: George W. Bush deserves more than another term in office; he deserves our gratitude.”

For the mailing address and the terms and conditions of the buy-back program, go to

World Ahead Publishing is a privately-held, California-based corporation with a growing coterie of authors who advocate individual liberty and free markets. World Ahead believes that freedom is the inalienable right of all human beings but the spread of liberty is by no means a foregone conclusion—individual freedom and the institutions that make it possible, including capitalism itself, face risks from reactionary and powerful interests. To that end, World Ahead Publishing seeks to publish thought-provoking nonfiction books exploring the significant economic, political, and security issues facing the nation and the world. Two other titles will debut in the second half of 2004, and seven new books are planned for 2005-2006.

Decapitated American Body Found In Iraq

The body of American construction worker Eugene Armstrong was found today in Iraq. An islamic website promises the decapitation of another American and a Briton if female Iraqi prisoners are not released by the government.

The trouble is the fact that aside from a couple of high-ranking prisoners from the former Iraqi regime, there are no female prisoners being held.

This is just another weak excuse by the cowardly muslim murderers to do what they do best, kill the defenseless.

They are totally inept as soldiers, their best fighters get their asses consistently handed to them whenever they make an attempt at a stand-up battle (even the French could whip them in a stand up fight) so their only recourse is to wage war on women, children and unarmed truck drivers. If they weren't engaged in such bloody atrocities against school children and hog-tied adults, their lack of valor would be the laughing stock of the entire world.

I pray for the families of all of the hostages. I pray that the weight of their grief should be lightened. And most of all I pray that the administration hardens and adopts a scorched earth policy toward those neighborhoods that support these cowardly murdering terrorists.

Making their terror campaign too costly for their supporters is the only way to win.

Portrait Of An American Warrior

Slaglerock has an outstanding account of a young Marine Corps corporal posted at the Slaughterhouse.

Corporal Lonnie Young, a 25 year old from Virginia, showed the islamodopes what American warfighters are all about last April 4th when he, a U.S. Army captain and a handful of Blackwater security advisors fought off overwhelming hordes of Kalishnikov rifle and RPG wielding terrorists from a rooftop.

Cpl. Young helped organize the defensive position, assisted the wounded which included the Army captain, ran under fire to obtain more ammunition more than a few times and laid down suppressive fire with his M249 Squad Automatic weapon. Actions he continued to perform even after being seriously wounded himself; taking shrapnel in his eye and a bullet in his back which lodged near his spine. He eventually was forced to be evacuated.

Blackwater credits Cpl. Young with being a huge factor in preventing the position from being over-run.

The islamonazis may have shown their willingness to die for their moongod, but Cpl. Young is a prime example of the coalition warfighters who have proven not only their willingness but also their ability to rapidly assist the badguys to their reward.

An Idea Whose Time Has Come

Some weeks ago, Slaglerock of the inimitable Slaughter House and MamaMontezz of the one and only Mental Rumpus Room came up with an idea to boost the morale of our troops over seas. they asked bloggers and their readers to write down their feelings toward and thanks to our servicemen and women which could be forwarded by them to one of Slaglerock's comrades who was preparing to deploy to one of the overseas theatres. This friend would then ensure that these words of encouragement would get to where they would do the most good.

The response was amazing. Over 300 letters were submitted and and sent along with SGT. Slagle's friend.

Now they have provided you with a place to go and read these letters.

The Letter Project is a site where soldier and civilian alike can come to read, think and be inspired. If you would like to submit your own letter to the troops, I am sure that either Slaglerock or MommaMontezz would be glad to accept it.

Polls Have Kerry Seeing Red And Reds Seeing Kerry

The World Net Daily has a rather interesting article about the recent shift in political focus by groups such as the American communist party and the American socialist democrats.

Interesting, yet hardly surprising.

The communists don't really like Kerry because he is extremely wealthy and because they don't like his voting record. Not that he doesn't vote for the things they want, it's that he seems not to vote at all. This makes him Bourgeois and useless. A Gore, Dean or Kucinich would have been their first choice.

What all the commies can agree on is that they have a unanimous and deep hatred of President Bush and until recently that was the focus of their efforts. Anyone but Bush, even Kerry will do.

All of that has changed since the RNC in NewYork City however. The Democratic stalking horse is rapidly turning into a dark horse and all rubles were placed on Kerry and Edwards in the perfecta. And are little prole hearts all a'flutter!

The workers are now getting guidance from on high to get their collective shoulders behind the Kerry wagon and try to push it out of the mire. Where emphasis was once placed on the President's foibles and weaknesses, it is now to be placed more on Kerry's qualities in an attempt to make him more appealing to voters (as if anything can make a politician seem less appealing than his gaining the full backing of the Communist party!). This directive coming undoubtedly from those un-named international leaders who support Kerry. Why do I smell kung pow and kim chi in the air?

Okay folks. There it is. Judge a person by the company he keeps. Or, in President Bush's case, judge him by his enemies.

If the terrorists AND the communists want Bush out of office, you just know he's doing it right!

Todays Birthday Events

I had a ball today, it was a good day. It might have been rather tame compared to what some of you do on your B-Days, but I am getting old and am slowing down as a consequence.

The wife and I packed our son up and drove to my mother and step-father's house where we waited for my grandparents to arrive. Once we were all together, we caravaned over to the Chinese food restaurant that has served as the rally point for family functions for years. My sister and her daughter met us there and as soon as we were ensconced in our seats, the gorging of the egg drop soup commenced in full vigour.

Everything was kopacetic until right after I had finished my "Mongolian Barbeque-esque" stir fry. I don't know what it was but it dropped the hammer on me......hard! My forehead broke out in a cold sweat, my head started to swim and everything took on that surreal, fevered look like it is entirely too big and out of context with it's environment. On top of that, my stomach started to make sounds reminiscent of a frog pond at dusk. Soon I was somehow able to understand what the cooks were shouting at each other in Mandarin from the kitchen; I don't know what that was all about.

After a vain attempt at recovering my composure I stood up, placed my trusty reproduction 1930's Detroit Tigers baseball cap somewhere on top of what seemed at the time to be my grotesque and freakish big giant monkey head and explained that I had to go. Now. If any of the restaurant staff felt that I was skipping on the bill, none of them said so. If I looked anything like I felt, they must have mistaken me for a new year dragon and kept their distance.

Back at my mother's place, I laid down for a little. Afterr the short rest I felt much revived and played a few hands of Euchre and shit on your neighbor with the family (actually I have omitted the phantasmagorical and epic scene enacted for what seemed hours in the little boys room as I wrestled a rather stubborn flying wombat, for the sake of decency).

Now I am at home and have stopped along the way for some chinese take out. What can I say? I was hungry again an hour after dinner!

Most people would consider that a total wash, as far as birthdays go. Me, I consider any occasion when somebody else pays for my dinner a stellar success.

Dig Those Crazy Jammies

You may have noticed the new button on my sidebar that has the solid nod drape on it. I'm sure that by now everyone is familiar with the story behind it.....those incompetent, lazy bloggers; sitting with toussled hair, coffee cup steaming at their elbow....Hacking away at their computers in pajamas and bunny slippers. Entirely too irresponsible and untrustworthy to cover any real news.

If you are one of the few who are not familiar with the story and the resulting button, go here to learn all about it.

A Date Which Will Live In Infamy

Tomorrow (16SEP04) is my birthday. I am officially 32 years old and I hearby declare before all of my readers that I am going to stay 32. From here on out I shall progress no farther than this age. In fact, I may decide to regress a few years just for good measure. Why not? Jack Benny stopped having birthdays at 38.....why should I wait till then?

Tomorrow I will be going out for Chinese cuisine, the traditional celebration fare in my family, and I will eat crab puffs and general sto's chicken till they manhandle me and physically expel me from the joint. And my digestion shall be eased by the happy knowledge that I am 32 years old, and 32 years old I shall stay.

Congressional Investigation Of CBS?

Rep. Christopher Cox, R-CA is asking Congress to investigate CBS for allegedly using documents that it knew were bogus to besmirch the President.

For my dough you can nix the allegedly altogether. Rather is so biased and weird that even the traitor Kronkite can't stand him. I hope they nail CBS to the wall, but they more than likey won't. Rather might be put out to pasture after this blows over, but I doubt that as well.

The Mainstream Media has gotten so powerful since the invention of the printing press that it is really not very realistic to expect them to be reigned in now that they make news instead of merely report it. Especially since about half of the population of this country faithfully tunes in nightly to the big 3 in order to have their opinion spoonfed to them.

Until more people wise up, I fear that Rather and his nightly news siblings are going to be allowed to report fiction as news with impunity.

AP Apes CBS, Tries to BS The USA

In the latest example of deliberately misleading and biased journalism from the Mainstream Media, the Associated Press stands behind their phoney Navy SEAL .

Just like CBS's (and I stress the BS) MEMOGATE, in which the Network would sacrifice it's already dubious credibility for the home team, the DNC, rather than back away from obviously bogus documents and name the source; AP has created their own SEALGATE.

This is fantastic on a few different levels. This "SEAL" allegedly served 5, count them, 5 years in Viet Nam. The average tour of duty for a SEAL team in Viet Nam was 6 months. There were undoubtedly multiple tour SEALS during the war, but 5 years? That is 10 tours! Wouldn't that qualify someone for Greek Titan status? Why are no school children singing epic poems about him? Why have I not been offered some weird and allegedly collectable trinket featuring his Mars-like visage for a limited-time-only price of $19.95 from the Franklin Mint???

More importantly, why will he not divulge his real name?

This alleged SEAL has only given his Muslim name. When other Bloggers became suspicious and pointed him out to a wanna-be SEAL watchdog group, the investigators could not find a person of that name as having served with any SEAL teams at all, let alone serving 5 years with them in Viet Nam. AP responded to this revelation by stating that the man had changed his name after returning home from the service. Of course, neither they nor he will give a name that will help them substantiate their claims. The public is once again expected to believe them just because.

The primary question I am left asking is Who Cares what this guy has to say, even if he is legit? He doesn't speak to President Bush's service record in any authoritative capacity. He's simply being touted as a former military man who doesn't like the President....big deal. Following this line of logic and the procession of events produced by it, the New York Times will soon be carrying a front page story on how John Edwards channeled the spirit of General Patton.

So once again, the Mainstream Media has produced a Deus ex Machina which instead of discrediting the Bush campaign, simply falls flat on it's face and serves as another example of who the left is and why America is going to keep President Bush in office for Four more years.

Oh....The Humanity!!!

Well, I'm about to tear every lovin' hair outta my head. I installed my new hard drive and that works fine.......but, I couldn't find my disc for reinstalling some of the programs I had. This is not as problematic as it sounds except for the fact that I can't find my anti-virus software. This is singularly vexing as I am now virtually swamped with pop-up ads and tool bars I neither like nor desire and I seem to have a new homepage everytime I log on.

I have tried a new anti-virus program and things have quieted down some. For example, my Disc drive and CD burner are no longer opening and closing of their own accord, which is good since I thought Steven King had hacked my machine. For a while there I was expecting blood to ooze from my speakers and that little girl from The Ring to come crawling out of my monitor.

I now have to become used, apparently, to little prompts asking me if I want access every time I visit a sight now. I get used to that, then again....I might prefer the girl from The Ring. at least she might have heard a good joke or two.

Anyhow...out of shear frustration, I have chugged a quart of Glen Fiddich and taken a handful a handful of mother's little helpers. That should calm me down. Acctualllly I fweel bettttttterr alreasdty.......II caanm Almost sdee aa khnld ;lld;'/;:'ldmihhuiulkkkkkkkkkkkk...................

Just kidding. I'm gonna keep working at this thing until I get it all figured out. Hopefully I can visit some of my fav blogs too. That would be bofo.

Three Years Ago Today

Three years ago today, I was hunched over a length of electrified monorail cutting 12 ga. leads and crimping connectors onto them when the news went around the shop like a lightning bolt. An aeroplane had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. It was still quite early in the day, I had just taken my first smoke-break and my second styrofoam cup of coffee was becoming steadily tepid on my tool cabinet, slowly but surely accumulating a fine film of copper dust on it's black surface.

My first thought was that a terrible accident had occured. I recalled a book that I had read in my youth called The Sky Is Falling, an eyewitness account of an Army B-25 Mitchell that had flown into the Empire State building in 1945. Perhaps it was some small plane flown by an inexperienced pilot that had hit the WTC.

Of course every American remembers how the events of that day turned out, It was no small plane. And there was no tragic pilot error. Every American remembers where they were and what they were doing when monsters suddenly, startlingly became very real.

The People of the United States were, in the following days and weeks, repeatedly reminded that Islam is a "religion of peace". The terrorists that had perpetrated this heinous crime were on the fringe....extremists, they did not represent the preponderance of muslims in the world. And indeed, it was evident from the news coverage of the "Arab street" in the hours following the 9-11 attacks that Islam is a peaceful religion. They were peacefully dancing in the streets with joy upon hearing of the murder of so many Americans. Candy was handed out to children. It was a holiday. All was peaceful and joyous with the Islamic peoples of the world.

Today, a full three years post facto, the fabled American Doughfoot, the GI, and his faithful Allies are actively laying their lives on the line to save the world from tyrrany; yet again. Some so-called friends don't want saving. They foolishly believe that, even after all of the bombings, beheadings and shootings that have transpired all over the world, they can find a comfortable circumstance in which to co-exist with Muslim expansion. If these people could be bothered to crack open a book about their own history they would be shocked to find that this is nothing more than another crusade. Of course this is not a shocking intelligence to those who actually pay attention. The fact that Islam is still up to it's old shenanigans because it has been stagnating in the middle ages for the last one thousand years whilst the rest of civilization has passed them by should not be shocking in the least.

There are a couple of things that befuddle me though. One thing that floors me is that we keep refering to the campaign in Iraq and the campaign in Afghanistan as two different and entirely seperate wars. We are fighting against a threat to us in both places. The ones who are fighting us in the mountains on the Pakistani border are ideaologically the same as those fighting against us in Iraq. Their bullets kill our soldiers the same way....their knives saw off the heads of innocents in the same manner. Their philosophy is to expel the Allies so they can bring their murder to our neighborhoods instead of theirs. They are one and the same enemy.

The other thing that totally slays me is that there is still a large number of people that truly believe that if we just live and let live, that if we become more accomodating, the terrorists will just pack up and go home. They believe that the muslim can be reasoned with if we just try and understand him. I have news for you, Jack.....these clowns believe that God wants them to exterminate us all. Do you really think that your good intentions are going to trump a supposed mandate from God? If you really think that your enlightened and humane world view makes you immune to their machinations, please go and have a little tete a tete with some of them. Tell them that Allah is all wet and they should just get along with us. Use that all-powerful good will and understanding of yours. I guarantee that if they have no immediate political use for you, you'll get your head handed to you....literally.

The only things these murderers understand is nothing. They certainly don't understand American resolve if they think we can be intimidated. Americans are a peace loving people who want to be loved by everybody. Until we are provoked, then all bets are off. We have a long reach and, contrary to popular belief, we have the patience of job. The only way to deal with the islamists is to drop the hammer down on them. HARD. No matter how distasteful it may be. Take away their ability to make war, demoralize them, and kill them on sight.

I'll bet you that when all of the dust finally settles, The Islamic world is going to be much more drastically changed than the United States will. And when it is, thank the servicemen of the coalition for it, because it will be a change for the better.

Sighted Bad Hard Drive....Sunk Same

Hello friends, had a lot happening this past week. Least of which was sweating out the delivery of my new hard drive. I have just finished getting the ol' beast up and running with the indispensible help of my brother-in-law who is much more competent in the maintenance of these things than I am. The force is truly with him and I pray that he should use his powers only for good.

There are also birthdays gu leor in my family this week and I am suffering from a rather nasty little stomach malady. I shall be my intrepid self and persevere, however. Hopefully I will be up to speed and posting with regularity within a day or two.

Forced Hiatus

If you should find posting slow here for the next few days, it is because my puter has been acting up lately and I have been compelled to have it serviced. This old machine has been making some pretty unusual beeps, whizzes and whirs lately and has been slower than usual. Sometimes it freezes up on me. Sometimes it doesn't start up at all.

One immediate result of this problem is that leaving comments on my favorite reads has been darned near impossible as comment boxes are so slow to come up. Some of my posts on this blog have decided not to co-operate as well.

So, my apologies in advance, Friends, for any inconvenience. Best case senario is a new post before the weekend. Worst case would be that I take leave of my senses and take this old machine out back for some relaxing trigger time.

Either way.....things should be back to some semblance of routine after the weekend. Until then (if this post will actually publish and you can read it), God Bless and have a good weekend.

Muslims Target Children...What Else Is New?

In their brave war against unarmed people, Muslims have, yet again, targeted children.

Approximately 17 Chechen terrorists, armed with rifles and bomb vests, have hijacked a school and taken 400 hostages. At least 8 corpses were left in their wake including the father of a child who attempted to resist the attackers. The hostages were rounded up and are being held in the school's now heavily mined gymnasium. In the inimitabley classy style of Muslim terrorists, the children are being used in the windows to screen small-arms fire.

The terrorists demand the release of terrorists that have previously been captured by the russians. They also state that 50 children will be murdered, no doubt in a heinous way, for every terrorist scum-bag that is killed and 20 children will be butchered for every terrorist scum-bag that is wounded.

Five will get you ten that this will turn out very badly. Muslim terrorists are not known for their magnanimity. They are less known for their mercy to children.

The greatest tragedy is that these cowards have to resort to making war on children. Why don't they come out of their holes and fight somebody that can offer resistance?

Know your enemy, gentle reader.
